Redmi launched a new budget phone in the lineup, the redmi 9 prime and this is everything about the phone.

Design and Display:
The Redmi 9 Prime comes with a plastic body. The back one comes with a vertical camera array at the top-center and these are surrounded by a concentric circle design, which redmi calls it “Aura 360 design”, below the camera we have a fingerprint sensor and to the front, the phone comes with a waterdrop notch. The back comes with a matte finish. Talking about the display, The phone comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display.
Internals and software:
The phone is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 and it comes with LPDDR 4X RAM. The comes with a 5020mAH battery and a 18W fast charging support but we only get 10W charger in the box. The phone comes with USB-C for charging and a headphone jack. The phone also comes with IR Blaster and FM radio. The phone comes with MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
Camera:
The phone comes with a quad rear camera, Tne primary is a 13MP sensor, the second is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, the third is a 5MP macro lens and the last one is a 2MP depth sensor, On the selfie side of things the phone comes with an 8MP sensor. The camera also comes with AI scene recognition up to 32 categories and 5 specific Indian ones.
Price and availability:
The phone for the base 4GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 and the higher 4GB+128GB is priced at 11,999 and this will be available in 4 colors namely, Space Blue, Mint Green, Sunrise Flare, Matte Black and the sale starts on 6th august for the prime days and will be later available on amazon, mi.com and all retail stores.
