Vivo X50 Series with Glimbal Camera launched in India

Vivo known for its camera-centric smartphone unveiled its new X50 and X50 Pro in India with a new stabilization tech in-camera sensor and this is everything about the phone.

Design and Display:

Both the X50 and the X50 pro come with a glass sandwich design which is held together by a metal frame. The back glass is a frosted one, which helps resist fingerprint marks. The phone comes with a 6.56 inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It also 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and an HDR10+ certification and P3 wide color gamut support. On the front it comes punch-hole on to the left.

Internals and Software:

Both the phones are powered by the new 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765G chipset and comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB. Speaking of battery, it comes a 4200 mAH battery and it comes with 33W fast charger in the box with type C port. It also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and many more for connectivity. It also comes with an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. We would have loved to see headphone jack in this phone but sadly that’s not the case. The phone runs on FunTouchOS 10.5 based on Android 10.

Camera:

Both the phones come with a 32MP selfie camera but the rear camera is where both the phones differ. The X50 Pro comes with a quad rear setup, the primary sensor 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor with 5-axis gimbal stabilization. This gimbal camera is the highlight of this phone and this promises to offer a stabilized video. The second is an 8MP periscope camera with a 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom. The third one is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and the last one is a 13MP portrait lens.

The regular X50 also comes with a quad-rear camera setup with a slight downgrade. The primary is a regular 48MP Sony IMX598, the second is a 13MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, the third is an 8MP ultra-wide camera and the last is a 5MP macro lens.

Price and Availability:

The regular X50 is priced at Rs. 34,990 for the 8GB+128GB and the higher 8GB+256GB variant is priced Rs. 37,990. This phone comes in two colors namely, the Frost Blue and Glaze Black, But images even show one more color variant.

Vivo X50 color variants

The Pro variant is priced at Rs. 49,990 for the 8GB+256GB variant and is available in the Alpha Grey color variant. The X50 series is up for pre-orders and will go on sale starting from 24th July.
